There was a quiet whimper near the rear of the door, Ahriel turned to face the source of the noise seeing Merula in his worgen state, on his tummy, paws up over his nose looking pitiful and cute.

"Me-ruu-la, Ahriel must go. Priestess offers Ahriel study."

Ahriel had been given a chance that she'd longed for, to study under Tyrande Whisperwind, the leader of the Night Elves, Priestess of Elune. Ahriel never hid her idolatry of the beautiful elf, Merula had learned of the Night Elves through her, while he taught her common and about Gilneas and Greymane. She, while being a Draenei, had tried to teach him what little Kaldorei she knew, but Merula was as stubborn as they came. Not that she minded, she was quiet patient and according to him, quite strange.

Merula whined at her, clearly unhappy at having to remain behind. With a sigh, Ahriel made her way to his side and knelt carefully, hooves away from his large hands and nose. She ruffled his scraggy fur. "Fine. Me-ruu –la come too. But Me-ruu-la stay door. Ahriel not trouble."

Her common was still somewhat broken, but her message was easy enough to understand – to him at least. He wasn't sure if Tyrande would understand her somewhat poor speech. She flicked one of her long curls over her shoulder and began out of her small adopted house in the city of Darnassus, Merula right beside her leg, eyes fierce in case someone or something might jump out at the priest – or Anchorite as she'd explained to him when they first met, or at least when he finally got her speaking a proper language and not this alien speech she sometimes still reverted to.

It wasn't the most common of sights, a Draenei Anchorite with a Worgen Warlock. Ahriel hated fire, and hated warlocks, however after some time she had been able to accept Merula and his 'demon horse' provided he never used fire near her or had a demon out. She had proved to him several times and he had lost control of himself and become a beast that she, while she was an anchorite and healed the 'Night Elf hurt', she was also quite capable at knocking sense into him and taking care of herself. Though he had also damaged her, possibly irreparably during their first showdown as he had attempted to drain her soul and caused a fragment to break.

As they arrived at the entrance to the Temple of Elune, Ahriel took a quick breath, it was still the most beautiful place she knew of in the world. Merula didn't understand, but it was to her, pure, reverent, sacred, beautiful and other words she couldn't think of in a language they would understand.

"Me-ruu-la stay. Ahriel, Priestess, Temple of Elune study, yes?"

Merula huffed but silently padded to one side of the entrance and seated himself and she requested.

"Me-ruu-la good." She smiled to him. "Ahriel soon back. Ahriel call Me-ruu-la for trouble." With that, she turned from him and strode into the Temple of Elune, hooves making a soft echo before she touched the grass. The sentinels nodded to her as she moved, she had been in here enough to know each of them, and they her. That she loved their priestess and believed in her and Elune, they had come to accept her, even with her broken speech. Her heart pounded in her chest as she made her way up the ramp and toward the enclave Tyrande and Malfurion often saw visitors. The two were once more in conversation, her hand in his and Ahriel glanced away, not wanting to intrude on what she could see was a personal moment.

"Ahriel, come. I am glad you have joined me today." At the words, Ahriel turned to the Priestess and did her best attempt at a curtsey, almost knocking herself over in the process.

"Ahriel thank Priestess. Priestess busy and kind. Priestess good."

Tyrande smiled and approached the Draenei, leading her down the ramp once more to the fountain of Elune. "This is where Elune resides. Well perhaps I should say rather, the spirit of Elune, our Goddess. She has blessed us, and we are every grateful for her blessing and watchful eye over us."

"Elune, Night Goddess."

Tyrande nodded. "Yes, she is."

"Who is?" Ahriel pointed to the statue in the middle of the fountain.

"Haidene, the first High Priestess of Elune."

Tyrande sat on the edge of the fountain while Ahriel made herself comfortable on the step beneath, listening intently to everything the elf had to say, honoured to be given the privilege of studying with her. They discussed many things, touching on defensive abilities, offense, healing.

"In a time of dire need, I was able to call on the stars to help me. Their wrath saved me as it came from above to strike those who wished me harm."

"Ahriel not heard this by priestesses. Ahriel only call light."

"It seems to become an ability lost over time by many, but perhaps some day, it may be used again by more than just I."

"Maybe Priestess teach. Ahriel not Night Elf, Ahriel not know stars like Priestess and Night Elf."

Tyrande smiled. "Perhaps someday, young one."
